Google Adsense; description below; in my opinion, is dying (ah! I hear you scream….read on howevever);

AdSense for content automatically crawls the content of your pages and delivers ads (you can choose both text or image ads) that are relevant to your audience and your site content—ads so well-matched, in fact, that your readers will actually find them useful.

However, I have solely based this claim on adsense on a very specific niche - web development. Now, any internet entrepreneur will realise that an advert is errr….an advert and that clicking it will most likely generate some form of revenue. Becuase everybody is trying to do it; nobody clicks and in this case, adsense wont really work on a web development community. It also seems that income streams with adsense is not what it used to be.

I am currently trialing a site (which I am not going to mention here) which SOLEY uses adsense to generate income. Whats different about this site? Well, it is a multiple niche site. Bearing this in mind, I can test each niche that I wish to investigate and compare revenue across the board. Each niche will be promoted in the same way, each niche will have exactly the same done to it as another. I wont be posting the results (ahhh…I’m greedy - but you have to be bad to be good sometimes), but this is an experiment you should try and see the results for yourself.

If you are running a web development site or internet resources site, forget adsense and use some other scheme that other webmasters would be looking for such as selling text links. A webmaster would be interested in purchasing links directly of another webmaster.

Now I hear you scream about Google and its penalization…I’ll save that for the next post.
