Many webmasters will say that pagerank is just a number, many will argue. Well, literally speaking, page rank is a number . Especially with the recent page rank update (or penalization as many think) of October 2007, the discussions of page rank have been at an all time high. The fact remains that page rank is an algorythm - nothing else. It is not manually altered and is entirely calculated based upon many factors of which we dont know all the details of - only Google do.
