“My website has been hacked”. A webmasters nightmare, but what could be one of the reasons as to how they hacked my website? One possibility is PHP’s register globals. It is important to note that PHP’s register globals are usually disabled by default nowadays, although some hosts still have them turned on because too many applications rely on register globals to be active in order for them to function. My personal advice is not to use such applications at all. Using register globals is dangerous.
